If You Don’t Love the Truth, You Cannot Give God What He Requires

The Voice of Elijah®, October 2018

You should seriously consider the implications of the things Jesus said about your “heart.” If you foolishly think you are going to inherit God’s Kingdom without keeping every nasty thought out of your mind, that only reveals how abjectly stupid you are. But, for the benefit of those who actually want to hear, understand, and live in accordance with the Truth that God has revealed in the Scriptures, I am going to tell you what you need to know. The Truth is exactly what Jesus told the lawyer:

“[You must love] [His Majesty], [Your] [God], [with] [Your] [entire] [Heart] [and] [with] [your] [entire] [Soul] [and] [with] [Your] [entire] [Understanding].”
(Matthew 22:37b) —HSSB

The Apostles clearly believed we are tripartite beings, made up of a body, a soul, and a spirit; and I have already told you the ancient Greeks believed the spirit resided in the heart and the soul resided in the blood. So I ask you, Did you see any mention of the body in what Jesus said about the love for God that we must have if we intend to inherit the Kingdom? Let me answer that for you real quick so we can keep moving: No, you didn’t. What you saw was a mention of the heart, the soul, and the understanding. Just so you know, the understanding Jesus had in mind is the result of a mental interaction between the spirit that is in the heart and the soul that is in the blood. So let me provide just a small bit of information for your “heart” to perceive and your soul to decide whether or not you want to understand it: You didn’t see any mention of the body (what the Apostles call “the flesh”) in what Jesus said because you are supposed to be rejecting the desires of the flesh through the interaction of your “heart” and soul. That is what the Apostle Paul is talking about when he says this: (Galatians 5:16–24).

Did I happen to mention the fact that the Prophets and Apostles tell us our soul resides in our blood and our spirit resides in our heart? I think I did, but I don’t recall also mentioning that’s not what actually is, that’s just parabolically what “what actually is” is like.
