Excerpt From Newsletter
In case you missed my point, in the eight paragraphs above I provided a brief summary of the five things Paul mentions in the sixth chapter of Ephesians:
- (1) the Truth
- (2) a declaration of not guilty
- (3) the word of the Gospel
- (4) belief
- (5) any comment made by God
If you intend to triumph over the enemy of your soul, you need to know the information I outlined in the eight paragraphs above; and you also need to know why you chose to believe them. That is because they will provide a refuge in which your soul can hide whenever you face a fierce onslaught of enemy forces. Without them, you will have nothing else you can use to defend against the lies that Satan propagates for the sole purpose of destroying the souls of men. That is, after all, his agenda: (John 8:12–59).
That passage delineates the war in which every True Believer is supposed to be engaged: The Truth of the Living Word of God is engaged in an ongoing struggle against the lies of Satan. As Paul clearly indicates, the campaign that began at the Incarnation of Jesus Christ and concluded with His Crucifixion was but one campaign in a war that is still continuing:
10[From now on], [be empowered] [by] [His Majesty], [and] [by] [The] [Power] [of His] [Might]. 11[Slip on] [All [of The] [{Living} God’s] Armor], [so] [that] [you] [can] [stand] [against] [The] [Tactics] [of The] [False Accuser], 12[because] [The] [Struggle] [we have] [is] [not] [against] [Flesh] [and] [Blood], [but] [against] [The] [Rulers], [against] [The] [Authorities], [against] [The] [World-Rulers] [of This] [Nether Darkness], [against] [the] [spiritual {aspects}] [of The] [Evil Intention] [in] [the {beings}] [in Heaven].
