Those who are asociated with The Voice of Elijah(TM) Christian newsletter and its parent non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, Voice of Elijah, Inc., hold Christian beliefs shared by those in the mainstream of the Evanglical Protestant wing of the Church. This doctrinal statement sets forth our basic beliefs:
WE BELIEVE in an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and sovereign God.
WE BELIEVE the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek text which constitute “the Scriptures” were inspired by the sovereign God
(2 Tim. 3:16) yet written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit
(2 Pet. 1:21).
WE BELIEVE in the inerrancy of the Scriptures in the original languages in which they were written.
WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, Who was both God and man—the Messiah proclaimed by the Prophets of Israel (Is. 7:14).
WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ died as a sacrifice to provide remission for our sins (Rom. 5:1-21).
WE BELIEVE salvation is attained solely through belief in Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God Who is revealed in the Scriptures (Eph. 2:8).
WE BELIEVE those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God revealed in the Scriptures, will demonstrate their belief through their actions (James 2:14-26).
WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, after which He presented Himself alive to over five hundred of His disciples (1 Cor. 15:6).
WE BELIEVE in the return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead at the consummation of the ages.
WE BELIEVE two eternal destinies exist, and all men shall go to one or the other—those who demonstrate belief in the Living Word of God revealed in the Scriptures shall go to heaven; those who do not shall go to hell.
